Travis Scott appeared at the opening ceremony of CACTI Park with a new look and a huge necklace collection

Beyond only music, Travis Scott’s creative abilities are vast. Even while fans love albums like ASTROWORLD, UTOPIA, and RODEO, he still has a ton more to offer. His brand expanded into the fashion industry through frequent product releases and brand partnerships that frequently coincided with new releases of music. He ventured into the cinema industry last year, releasing CIRCUS MAXIMUS concurrently with the release of UTOPIA. But now more than ever, he’s taking a far more direct approach to the world of athletics.

That occurred when Cactu Park, his brand-new baseball stadium, opened. Located in West Palm Beach, the park doubles as a training ground for spring training games. Over the weekend, Scott was in attendance when the Astros faced the Nationals. Not only was he present, but he also had the honor of tossing the opening pitch in the stadium bearing his own seltzer brand’s name. Videos of his pitch went viral, and although it’s not flawless, it’s definitely better than some of the worst attempts celebrities have ever made in the position. Watch the video below for his stadium ceremonial introduction.

Travis Scott’s most recent album, UTOPIA, received a double platinum certification over the weekend. The record was released in July of last year, and it reached the milestone quite rapidly. Since their release, songs like “I KNOW” and “FE!N” have received over 300 million Spotify plays, and both are still charting on the Hot 100.

Even though Scott usually takes a break between album releases, he started teasing his next one right away. He recently stated, but he’s not entirely sure what he means, that he needed to “kick into a new gear” for his next endeavor. What do you think about an MLB spring training ballpark being named after Travis Scott’s Cacti drink? What was his performance like in the first pitch?
