In anticipation of Saturday’s Premier League match against West Ham United, where Chelsea hopes to maintain our 100% away record this season, preparations are well under way at Cobham.
The Blues were practicing on the Cobham training field two days before we travel to the London Stadium to play West Ham in our second straight away Premier League match. Our next game is quickly approaching, and Enzo Maresca had nearly the entire team at his disposal on Thursday. Malo Gusto, Romeo Lavia, Enzo Fernandez, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are still working toward their comebacks after missing the 1-0 victory at Bournemouth the previous week.
In an attempt to extend the run of Premier League away victories by making it three straight in east London, a number of those engaged at the Vitality Stadium were on the field at Cobham before to the West Ham match.
“I’m extremely pleased with the group,” declared Sanchez, the hero of Bournemouth’s triumph who made many clutch saves, including one to stop Evanilson’s penalty.”We can reach the highest, which is what we believe we can do, and this is what we are going to try and do,” the player said. “We are improving game by game, session by session.”
Jadon Sancho was also practicing on Thursday. After starting the game off the bench against Bournemouth and setting up Christopher Nkunku’s winning goal, the deadline-day acquisition is still getting to know his new teammates in preparation for a potential full Chelsea debut.
Being able to play again after making my Chelsea debut was incredible. I’m really appreciative. “I am glad I got the chance, and I have been working hard for that moment,” Sancho remarked.
I must express my gratitude to the entire staff as well as my teammates. They have welcomed me and made me feel at ease since the day I walked in, and I want to thank them for that. There is fierce rivalry for spots in that area as a result of Sancho expanding Maresca’s arsenal of attacking alternatives, which can only improve performance in games and on the training field.
“We have big players in a big club,” Nkunku remarked. “Every position is competitive, so all we have to do is put in a lot of effort during every practice and game.”
