Jackson took exception to Mikel’s comments and retaliated with an Instagram story that he later removed, in which he attacked the former Nigerian international.

“Be quiet, don’t say a word, we are sacrificing ourselves for Africa,” Jackson wrote in his message.

A flurry of responses ensued, with fans and commentators debating the contentious conversation.

Jackson has been a consistent contributor for Chelsea after the event, making four games and contributing with two goals and an assist.
