Debbie Harry stunned in the new Gucci campaign for the Blondie bag collection, in which she modeled the $6,980 ‘Large Top Handle Bag’ beside an adorable Yorkie in the backseat of a London cab.
The Blondie frontwoman easily defied her 79 years in a black sheer ensemble while modeling the $4,200 Gucci Blondie ‘Medium Top Handle Bag’ as a white dog sat on her lap.
Photographer Nan Goldin also captured Debbie (born Angela Trimble) rocking an oxblood leather jacket selected by stylist Francesca Burns to match the $3,900 Gucci Blondie ‘Small Top Handle Bag.’
‘What I like the most about Debbie Harry is her irreverence. She is a free spirit in her choices, and she is still an icon,’ Gucci creative director Sabato De Sarno told WWD on Thursday.
‘I have always been a fan of Blondie; they marked specific moments of my life and inspired generations. She is American but she has a strong connection with London.’

The 41-year-old Italian designer noted that the luxury fashion house’s revived Blondie bag isn’t named after Harry’s new wave band, but rather a design that dates back to 1971.
The Florida-born, New Jersey-raised singer previously sat front row at Gucci’s Cruise 2025 runway presentation held at London’s Tate Modern on May 13 alongside Demi Moore, Lila Moss, and her famous mother Kate Moss.
Aside from Debbie, Gucci enlisted cellist-singer Kelsey Lu as well as models Alaato Jazyper and Yanan Wan to front the ‘We Will Always Have London’ campaign.
Harry co-founded Blondie in 1974 with her ex-boyfriend Chris Stein, and they mysteriously announced ‘the cancellation of several upcoming Blondie concert dates during August and September.’
‘This was a hard decision to make, and we understand how disappointing this news is for everyone,’ the three-time Grammy nominees wrote on July 19.
‘We will keep you further informed as soon as possible. Your support means the world to us, and we are grateful for your understanding. Refunds, where applicable, will be issued immediately. Please contact your point of ticket purchase if you need more information.’
This, one month after the former Playboy Bunny and the 74-year-old guitarist had confirmed to BBC Radio 6 Music that their 12th studio album would be released next year.
Blondie – who were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006 – have sold over 40M records worldwide including Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hits Heart of Glass, Call Me, The Tide Is High, and Rapture.
The CBGB regulars still get 11.8M monthly listeners on Spotify and boasts 4.5M social media followers.
