REGARDING HIS MEMBERSHIP WITH HIS FORMER CLUB IN THE LEAGUE:

We were going to beаt Chelsea, and I told my teammates as much. Playing against my old team is always an emotional game for me. With the Champions League reaching its knockout stage, it will be great to see so many familiar faces.

THOUGHTS ON HIS STAY AT CHELSEA AND HIS 2021 UCL WIN:

As challenging as it was to get to where we are now, the road to winning the Champions League in 2021 was no picnic. Keeping up that level the following year isn’t always a picnic either. What I’ve learned over the past few years is that titles don’t define success. What matters is the journey itself.

REGARDING THE OLD CHELSEA TEAMMATES WHOM HE CONTINUES TO CONTACT:

It is as if we are still in the same team when we play with Matteo Kovacic. Since we talk at least twice a week, I’m anticipating our meeting. There are a lot of known faces, like him, but there are also a lot of fresh faces, including Hakim Ziyech, with whom I get along well, Mason Mount, and Reece James. It will thus be really intriguing.

AT STAMFORD BRIDGE’S FAN RECEPTION:

“I can’t speak for all of the fans, but my former teammates, staff, and colleagues have assured me that I will be met with an overwhelming welcome.”

Regarding Changing Your Game to Fit the LA Galaxy:

Because of the increased rhythm in Premier League games and the difficulty of the competition, you will need to modify your playing style. A lot of fouls happen and the whistle is blown rapidly in Spain. You need to be careful not to send anyone off in La Liga because there are a lot of red cards. In general, La Liga is very competitive and technically demanding, but there are a few things you’ll need to adjust to. My favorite thing about Spanish soccer is that opposing teams don’t resort to a one-dimensional game of longballs and goal-scoring attempts. As entertaining as it is, they all attempt to play from behind.

IF ANY TEAM IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE PRESSUMES ANY CONCERN FOR HIM:

Any team may be a threаt at this point. We have Chelsea, who, when you break them down into their individual players, are really talented. And then there are teams like Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and even Benfica, who are incredibly tough to play against. Naples too. At this point, I don’t think it’s important to glance around; you need to concentrate on yourself. Every squad is formidable; anybody can cause harm to any other.

HOW TO CONQUER CHELSEA:

When I play a game, it’s all about striking a balance between attacking and defending. It goes without saying that a goalless draw would be ideal for a defender. Finally, I’m not the coach, thus it’s not my place to decide on strategy. Every opponent has their own unique strategy that the coach must devise. So, regarding strategies, I am somewhat speechless. It’s always about finding the perfect balance and attacking the game in the appropriate method for me.
