Roy Keane dubbed Premier League hardman a’snake in the grass’ following Manchester United struggles

Despite his reputation as a Premier League hardman, Roy Keane says one of his midfield opponents is a’snake in the grass’.

In the middle of the park, the former Manchester United captain clashed with some of English football’s most vicious tacklers.

Keane received a whopping 13 red cards over his career, which surprised the Irishman. You won’t be surprised to hear that he thought he got and deserved less.

During an episode of The Overlap’s Stick To Football podcast, Sky Bet hosts Gary Neville, Jill Scott, and Ian Wright decided to look into Keane’s disciplinary record.Keаne’s fιgҺts wιtҺ fоrmer аrsenаl cаptаιn Pаtrιck Vιeιrа аre legenԀаry. Neville sought Keane’s opinion on Dennis Wise, who played over 300 games for Chelsea and won the FA Cup twice.

He and Keane again met in the 2004 FA Cup final, which United won easily. Wise played for Millwall. Images of Keane laughing at Wise during the game have also surfaced online.Keane delved into Wise’s methods on the pitch, away from the referee’s sight.

The 52-year-old continued, “I believe he [Wise] got away with it a lot because he was cunning. He was a snake in the grass and used to pinch people.

Wise set United players up in the 2000 Community Shield, which Chelsea won 2-0.

He repоrteԀly pluckeԀ а hаir frоm Nicky Butt’s leg befоre аԀԀressing his оppоnent, “I hоpe I ԀiԀn’t hurt yоu tоо much.”

When previously discussing Wise’s antics, Neville joked: “Dennis Wise was unbelievable with what he used to get away with. “He would gouge your eyes out, Dennis Wise!”

He is a Chelsea legend for a reason. Wise is presently the president of Serie B club Como.
