Due to calf, shin, and heel ailments, Shaw has been out since February. Man United has been missing him a lot, with Lisandro Martinez and right-back Noussair Mazraoui stepping in on the left.

Erik ten Hag, the manager of United, issued a warning last month that Shaw would probably miss the October international break, and his forecast came to pass.

Since then, there has been optimism after it was reported that Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, his left-back deputy, were getting closer to playing again.

It looks like Shaw’s eagerly awaited comeback might finally arrive.

Luke Shaw says feeling wanted is key to his England form

Luke Shaw is back in training, although he is working alone and not with the rest of the team. The post stated, “Last played for United on 18 February 2024.”United will be quite relieved to see Shaw return to play soon, especially because the team currently lacks any natural left-backs because of their persistent injury problems.

Martinez came in at left-back during the victory over Brentford, but with their center-backs suffering from a plethora of ailments, United may not be able to rely on him there.

Jonny Evans was ruled out of tomorrow’s match against Fenerbahce after taking a knock earlier today, and Leny Yoro is still out due to foot and ankle injuries sustained during the US preseason trip.

United’s defense has performed excellently in recent days, allowing just nine goals in eight Premier League games while maintaining four clean sheets, while having to continue navigating the current injury problem.

Given that United has lost both of their Europa League first games, Thursday night’s game will put their commitment to the test.
