Micah Parsons surprises mother with new home in Dallas ‎

Micah Parsons fulfilled his word.

The Dallas Cowboys linebacker, formerly of Penn State, just purchased a brand-new home for his mother.

With the caption, “Welcome, Mom,” and “all for you,” Parsons shared a picture of himself and his mother Sherese Parsons in front of a brand-new Dallas house on Instagram on Saturday.

Parsons was born and raised in Harrisburg and is very close to his mother. In an earlier PennLive profile this year, right before the NFL Draft, she referred to the Penn State All-American as her “biggest blessing.”

Parsons ultimately was selected with the 12th overall choice in the NFL Draft. Last month, he agreed to a four-year rookie deal with the Cowboys.

And now, Parsons is buying his mother a brand-new house as part of his lifelong vow to her, according to Onwardstate.com.

In a recent interview with BroBible, Parsons stated, “I want to finally get my own house, pay off my mom’s debt. I moved around a lot when I was younger, so if I could put my mother and I in our own home and have something to call ours, that would be amazing.”

Parsons hails from modest beginnings in Harrisburg, but he acknowledges that his mother provided him with the framework he needed to stay focused. She kept him occupied all year long by getting him involved in a range of sports.

In reference to his mother, Micah remarked, “This world would be OK if we had a million more Shereses.”

In order to get ready for the NFL draft, Parsons decided not to play for Penn State in 2020.

Parsons was chosen as an All-American and All-Big Ten linebacker in 2019.
