The mood in the Los Angeles Dodgers camp was already high after the team won both games in its home leg of the World Series. The Dodgers carried forward that momentum as they took a 4-2 win to go 3-0 up against the New York Yankees. Not just on the field, but there were smiles off it as well as Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman’s wives got together ahead of the game.

Betts’ wife Brianna posted a snap on her Instagram alongside the wives of the other two former MVPs in the Dodgers lineup, Ohtani’s wife Mamiko Tanaka and Freeman’s wife Chelsea. The three posed for a picture in a dining space at the Yankee Stadium.

Chelsea and Mamiko wore similar jackets that showcased the Dodger Blue. The latter even had her husband’s surname etched on her right sleeve while Brianna wore a dark outfit with black leather pants. The picture was posted during the seventh-inning stretch of the game when the Dodgers were already leading 4-0.

While Chelsea and Brianna are well known to the public because of their social media presence, this was a rare appearance for Mamiko. She was present during the Dodgers’ NL West clinching game, celebrating alongside her husband and other teammates.

The MVP trio didn’t disappoint and contributed to their team’s win on Monday. Shohei Ohtani earned a lead-off walk in the first inning and scored when Freddie Freeman hit a two-run homer off Yankees starter Clarke Schmidt. This was Freeman’s fifth consecutive home run in as many World Series games.

After Tommy Edman earned a lead-off walk in the third inning, Mookie Betts plated him for his second RBI of the series. They were well aided by their teammates as Enrique Hernandez drove in a run and a strong effort from starterĀ Walker BuehlerĀ and the bullpen.

The Dodgers are now one game away from clinching the World Series. They will have two chances to clinch the trophy in the Bronx. It will be their first title since 2020 and eighth franchise World Series victory overall.
