Badiashile has failed to cement his place as a first-team regular since the Blues signed him for £35 million in January 2023 from Monaco, a club in France’s top division.
Under head coach Enzo Maresca, Badiashile has only made one Premier League appearance this season and has spent most of his time on the bench.
Meanwhile, with the recent long-term injuries to Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal, Juventus are facing a defensive problem.
The Turin club is reportedly considering adding Chelsea center defender Badiashile to their January transfer want list. This information comes from Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Chelsea have used France international Badiashile in 41 games thus far, but ex-Blue William Gallas recently said that he wasn’t good enough.
Gallas told Prime Casino, “I knew then that Benoit Badiashile wasn’t the type of player that would thrive in the Premier League” after seeing him play for Monaco almost two years ago.His talent is there, but it won’t cut it in the Premier League. His signing by Chelsea caught me off guard, and now he has to sit on the bench and pout because he doesn’t get any playing time.
This is when you have to consider the scouts and individuals responsible for signings at Chelsea; he isn’t feeling well since he isn’t playing in games, but I don’t believe he is good enough to start. Upon agreeing to leave Monaco at the beginning of 2023, Badiashile inked a seven-and-a-half year deal with Chelsea.
Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill will start the season as Chelsea’s central defenders, according to Maresca, who took over as manager in July.
It is believed that Thiago Motta’s Juventus would be willing to sign Badiashile on a permanent or loan basis.
Under Motta’s leadership, Juventus have gotten off to a strong start in Serie A, going undefeated in their first 12 matches and behind only Napoli by two points.
