Cole Palmer attended the GQ Men of the Year Awards on Tuesday night, but instead of the football field, he walked the red carpet with his girlfriend.
Palmer posed for pictures with influencer Connie Grace while wearing a suit and boots for the upscale event at Kensington Roof Gardens in London.
Palmer and Grace, a fellow Mancunian, made their first public appearance together on Tuesday after reportedly dating for three months.Grace matched him with a black dress that accentuated her toned stomach, while the Chelsea actor wore a black suit and bowtie.
However, with his mother Marie by his side in the capital, the football player made sure it wasn’t just about him and Grace.
After a breakthrough 12 months for club and country, Marie was thrilled as her son stole the show as the two posed for photos. After playing well for England against Greece and the Republic of Ireland, Palmer’s teammate Noni Madueke also went to the event.
In the absence of Bukayo Saka, Madueke took advantage of the situation and contributed to England’s 3-0 victory in Athens last Thursday.
He had a more subdued performance on Sunday at Wembley, but in Lee Carsley’s last game as interim manager, the Three Lions dominated the second half to defeat Ireland 5-0 and earn promotion to the Nations League.
Madueke opted for a little more relaxed style than Palmer, but he still managed to look the part by wearing a white shirt underneath a black cardigan.
With Chelsea playing again on Saturday at midday against Leicester, Palmer and Madueke should be back in training right away on Wednesday.Due to an injury, the former was left out of the England squad last week; however, he has now resumed training and should be ready for the trip to the King Power Stadium this weekend.
Kobbie Mainoo, another England prospect who has been overlooked over the previous week, attended the party on Tuesday night.
Mainoo looked great in a black leather jacket, pants, and a basic white T-shirt.
After missing many weeks of action due to injury, the young midfielder returned to the field for the first training session under new Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim on Monday. He appears to be in the running for a starting spot when the Red Devils play Ipswich on Sunday.
