Despite not playing a single minute under Ruben Amorim, Joshua Zirkzee is reportedly intending to end his tenure at Old Trafford, shocking the new Manchester United head coach.

After making an impression for the Serie A team and helping them earn their first-ever Champions League berth, the Dutchman joined in July in a £42 million transfer from Bologna.

Even though Zirkzee scored on his United debut, he hasn’t been able to hit the net much and lost his spot in the team prior to Erik ten Hag’s dismissal.According to reports in October, the 23-year-old was considering moving back to Italy in time for the January transfer window because he was dissatisfied in Manchester.

Motta is eager to get a striker since Zirkzee and Dusan Vlahovic’s replacements would meet his desired profile. Given that Zirkzee is “interested” in joining the Serie A team, the Bianconeri are unlikely to press for a permanent deal in January, and a loan agreement might be the only option available.
