Man United easily defeated Bodo/Glimt 3-2 in the Europa League, giving manager Ruben Amorim his first victory in the role.

Again, United jumped off to an early lead thanks to a goal from Alejandro Garnacho in the first minute. Rasmus Hojlund grabbed the ball from the goalie after applying good pressure. The fastest to respond was Garnacho, who tapped the ball into the back of an empty net.

Only eighteen minutes later, Bodo/Glimt reached a settlement and, thanks to Hakon Evjen, restored parity. Philip Zinckernagel would give the visitors the lead a few seconds later.

Noussair Mazraoui showed off some incredible footwork just before halftime before sending a beautiful cross into the area for Hojlund. To guarantee that everything was level going into the tunnel, the United number nine produced a superb touch and finish.

Hojlund put United ahead five minutes after the restart when he was hit by a cross from Manuel Ugarte. United has only won twice this season in the Europa League.

Ugarte was among United’s top players during the ninety minutes.

With a 62% individual pass accuracy, the defensive midfielder touched the ball 78 times and found his teammates 60 of the 65 minutes. Ugarte’s assist on Hojlund’s second goal was one of his crucial deliveries. It was also the only significant opportunity he generated.

Ugarte attempted to ping three long balls and made two effective connections.

The Uruguayan started and finished a single dribble. He engaged in seven ground fights and prevailed in five of them.

The former Sporting Lisbon and Paris Saint-Germain player made three interceptions and two clearances.

He added four tackles as well.
