Old Trafford was the site of Manchester United’s 4-0 thrashing of Everton. Based on the game, these are our player ratings.

“Andre Onana…” 7 – He didn’t have much to do until the last five minutes, when he denied the Toffees with some excellent stops. It was a good performance from the bench. Yet another blank slate.

This game was a little more challenging for Noussair Mazraoui than his normal fare. He was substituted off in preparation for Wednesday’s match against Arsenal after Iliman Ndiaye beat him once or twice but finished strongly.

Beto outscored Matthijs de Ligt 5-0 in the first half, forcing Onana to step up his game. The Everton striker has something to offer thanks to because of his physique. Just like Mazraoui, he was able to settle into the game as United took control.

7-Lisandro Martinez — Great passing and defense. It appears that he is flourishing in that back-three configuration. Unforgivingly sent off, meaning he will not be able to play in midweek’s match against Arsenal.

Playmaker Amad Diallo 9 – Unreal! We are in possession of a true treasure. Zirkzee accomplished both of his objectives because of his dogged persistence. At right wing back, the Ivorian was faultless and an ever-present danger. Even if he didn’t find the score sheet, his impact was just as significant.

Mainoo Kobbie 7 – It is good to see him playing again after a long layoff. Did a good job defending United’s possession and working hard to keep the ball. Was also cautioned and will not be able to play in Wednesday’s match against Arsenal.

Five Casemiros – Despite being pulled out of position on occasion, maintained a solid position otherwise.

Diogo Dalot 5—More purposeful and determined, but with a little less meat on the bone.

Debutant Marcus Rashford scores nine goals. Braced up. A continual danger who contributed to United’s success moving ahead. Had a good rapport with Amad and Zirkzee.

Diego Maradona 8 – Impressive display. Zirkzee scored United’s second goal after receiving a fantastic assist. Luckily did not receive a penalty after nutmegging Ashley Young.

Joshua Zirkzee 9.5—He scored twice and did a great job with each of his goals. There is some wonderful, inherent lineplay. His teammates were sparked into action by his incredible holding of the ball. We can only hope that his performance was indicative of future success.

Harry Maguire, a substitute who fit into the center of United’s backline, scored six goals and was a key factor in the team’s victory.

“Luke Shaw 7 – Post-injury, he has looked fantastic. The fourth goal for United was set up by a beautiful headed clearance.

Manuel Ugarte (5)—Carried out his duties and added some much-needed vigor to the park’s center.

Garnacho Alejandro has When he came on, he was lively (6). One or two sights of goal but couldn’t find the back of the net. Relaxed for a change.

Mason Mount 5 – On the pitch for a limited period.
