Fede Valverde: “Today has been a hard hit, I take the blame”

Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde took to his Instagram to apologise after making a mistake that led to Athletic Club’s winning goal in the 2-1 loss.

Here is what he posted on his social media accounts:

“Today has been a hard hit, but I take the blame, turn the face and apologize. For my teammates and the fans. I know it is football and things can happen, but they are not strangers to me and I did not want to stop expressing myself for the mistake I made.“There is a long way to go, many competitions and I am sure a lot of joy. Thank you, Hala Madrid.”

Fede Valverde has easily been one of Real Madrid’s best players this season, performing on a consistent basis as the team tried to figure itself out.

It is very rare to see Valverde make a mistake like this, but with the level of performances he has shown, this will not be a regular thing.

Real Madrid will face Girona on the weekend, and Valverde will look to make amends.
